01 | COROMANDEL PEAK (Roys Peak)
Probably the most recognisable helicopter landing location in New Zealand. Looking over Lake Wanaka, it is absolutely worth the trip to this location. It is one of the more expensive landing locations from Queenstown as it is the mountain range that seperates Queenstown & Wanaka.
There are a few different angles you can shoot up here, however, everyone wants the classic peak with lake in the background!

02 | CECIL PEAK
A short 5 minute ride from Frankton, Queenstown and you’ll find yourself on top of a the ledge at Cecil Peak. One of the cheaper options for heli flights means it is very popular for elopements as there is an iconic ledge that you can hold an intimate ceremony on top of.
In winter, the ground is covered in thick snow and is lovely with the snowy mountain backgrounds. 10/10 from us!

03 | BIG GEORDIE
A bit of an underrated spot, Big Geordie is popular as a second landing location and it is not too far away from a few other landing spots in Queenstown. The helicopter landing spot looks over Lake Wakatipu heading towards Glenorchy, a very unique spot that not many see.
The main feature of Big Geordie is the abundance of long brown tussock grass which is so vast and looks stunning in photos.

04 | REMARKABLES
One of the most iconic mountains around Queenstown. Home to the popular ski field and breathtaking alpine viewpoint, this heli spot offers some of the most captivating photography opportunities at a competitive price. Another location that is only a nippy 5 minute ride from the Queenstown heli base.

05 | LAKE LOCHNAGAR
Nestled in the mountains is this breathtaking lake location that offers some dreamy mountain photos. Featuring a rocky shoreline, Lake Lochnagar is famous for elopements with the tall mountains dominating the background. In the middle of winter the ground and mountains are fully covered in white, which paired with the turquoise lake, creates a stunning helicopter landing option.

06 | EARNSLAW BURN
Surrounded by idyllic waterfalls, Earnslaw Burn has become a popular landing spot over the past couple of years. The tussock grass sitting next to gigantic rock faces covered in snow sets one epic backdrop for your photos and you can see why many elopements are choosing this as their preferred spot.
HOT TIP - avoid this location in the middle of winter as due to the direction of the sun, it will stay in the shade the entire day! Best enjoyed in spring to autumn.

07 | LAKE ERSKINE
This place holds a special place in our hearts as this is where we got engaged ourselves!
It is one of the most popular landing locations for elopements around Queenstown as it involves a jaw-dropping 20-minute flight through Fiordland which cannot be overlooked!
In winter, the lake freezes over and the grey mountains turn into a white art piece. This is probably top of our list for heli landings from Queenstown!

08 | BAYONET PEAKS
Looking over Lake Wakatipu lays Bayonet Peaks. An extraordinary landing spot overlooking Cecil Peak. This place is starting to get more and more popular as it offers the tussock grass look as well as rocky viewpoints over the mountains.
You waste no time getting to this peak as it is only a 5 minute trip each way. More time to enjoy getting those epic shots!
