WHY CHOOSE A PHOTO & VIDEO PACKAGE?

Looking for a Photographer and Videographer for your wedding? Read this guide to see why you should book a combined Photo & Video Wedding Package in New Zealand

Package Deals

Photography and Videography teams are in a unique situation where they can offer discounts when you book both services together. This is a common marketing technique used by many vendors across the industry.

If you book the services separately, vendors have little to no motivation to offer discounts as Photo & Video packages are much larger packages. If they don’t offer discounts, they may through in free pre wedding shoots or small add ons for free.

Better Communication

This is one of the main benefits and cannot be overlooked! When planning your wedding you will be faced with emails upon emails from numerous vendors who you are planning the day with. Streamlining this process by eliminating that extra vendor will give you just one less headache.

Usually this means you just need to chat with one person who takes care of all the photography and videography needs. Sometimes things your Photographer wants doesn’t work for the Videographer so knowing that this hurdle will never come up is a bonus.

Another bonus of hiring from the same team is that your talent team may have worked together in the past, so they know how the other operates.

Equal Quality & Style

You don’t want to have a major disparity in the look and feel between your wedding photography and videography. One may look polished and professional whereas the other looks like amateur B-roll - you really don’t want this! Often Wedding Photo & Video teams will be shooting on the same camera system as well. Different camera systems present different colours in the editing process. This could result in the same shot from two cameras looking extremely different.

If you choose a different wedding photography team for one service, the quality might be compromised or subpar to other coverage. Ideally, your photo and video should look like it was shot by the same team. The easiest way to do that? Hire from the same team

Photos can also be heavily stylised which can make them look very different from video - imagine if you get a Dark & Moody Video with Bright and Airy photographs. If you’re dreaming of a wedding film and wedding photographs that “match” stylistically, hiring a photo & video team is a total no-brainer for you.

We shoot with the same lighting style in natural light as well as reception lighting. It’s important to us to display a wedding in the most authentic and joyful way that celebrates this magical day! A whole lot of joy mixed with some romance is when we are most comfortable and that applies to not just our photography but also to our videography as well!

Keep Logistics Simple

There are a lot of moving parts to the wedding planning to ensure everyone turns up at the right times at the right location. The Photographer and Videographer share a fairly similar timeline for a wedding day and will work side by side for the majority of the day. Thus, having one person to communicate with and plan all the logistics keeps things nice and easy in the planning process.

When booking your wedding photographer and videography team, these logistical requirements have been streamlined to create a synergistic approach to the wedding day. This avoids making any major last minute changes to your runsheet as the photographer and videographer are already on the same page. As a result of working together on numerous weddings, there is an ebb and flow between us that gets passed onto our couples creating a seamless experience. Shared teams have experience working with one another, so they can anticipate each other’s positioning, style, and needs. This results in fewer shots “ruined” by one team obstructing the angle of the other.

The Partner Duo

When you have real-life partners who have then started a Photo & Video team together, these often stand out against the rest. Why you ask? Well, these teams have mastered everything above to a level far beyond what just two work colleagues can achieve.

Not to toot our own horn, but we have been shooting weddings together since 2014 and shot over 400 weddings together. This means we can anticipate each other more than other teams, we know what each other is thinking and we are great at helping one another.

There is also a sense of shared experiences as a couple can share common ground with other couples. We love joking around with our couples and being a silly couple ourselves relaxes our couples and so makes the content even better.
